I figured that I’ve neglected this thing long enough and that finals week is the perfect time to procrastinate practice my writing skills.
The other day at work, this middle aged black lady walked past my store (I don’t even know if that’s the appropriate word to use, since my store isn’t really a store nor is it a kiosk. I guess it’s more like an area) and was trying on a pair of Versaces. She looked at herself in the mirror and was like “Dayummm, these are tight.” Being the white washed little girl that I am, I said to her “Oh, I can always change the fit for you, if you’d like.” She proceeds to laugh and then said “No, I meant tight as in cool.” I felt like a total fool, but seriously, who still says “tight?” This is not 1999, lady.
